Rey’s Place is a new Filipino Restaurant located in a heritage listed terrace house in Sydney’s Darlinghurst. This latest entry into Sydney’s saturated food scene is one of contrast: it’s first modern Filipino food.
The house itself features two distinct levels, both with different experiences: a ground floor that feels refined; and a stripped back basement.
The identity explores this relationship of two halves: using two custom typefaces based off Filipino calligraphy, portraits that pair fine-diners with unruly guests, and a two-tone colour palette to complement.
